Jon grew up in Monmouthshire, South Wales with a keen interest in Music and Theatre, which he pursued to University where he graduated in Music. Since returning to Wales, Jon has taken great delight in working with theatre companies who are considered Welsh leaders in their fields, including The National Youth Theatre of Wales, Hijinx Theatre and Taking Flight Theatre Company. As well as working freelance, Jon founded the arts organisation COMMUSICATION, which focuses its efforts on bringing professional artists in to reach of those who may not otherwise have a creative outlet.

As of Spring 2015, COMMUNICATION started hosting exploratory performance group Nid Fy Mwnciod I/Not My Monkeys (@NotMyMwnciod) who work collaboratively to create cross platform work.

Jon is also an Age Cymru artist practitioner and is Outreach Coordinator for Hijinx Theatre, focused on developing all of the companies work with in the community and youth sectors. He also is producing a new initiative for the company, Able to Act: Lesotho, and will be travelling four actors with learning disabilities out to Africa to create a new piece of theatre, centred around building aspirations for young people and those living with disabilities.

He will shortly be composing and performing for Twocan Theatre in Cheltenham, and performing in Wismar and Edinburgh for Hijinx Theatre.
