I stumbled into teaching, really, after studying English lit in college. Twenty-five years later, I am still learning about the power of reading and writing, both for myself and for children and young adults. This blog is a place to share good and great reads for adults as well as children and young adults ages 10 - 14. These are the years when children really begin to dig deep into books - for fun, entertainment, escape, time travel, information and self-discovery, among many other reasons.
