I am a big data software architect in the Seattle area with 11 years experience working in web services and REST, 6 years experience working with NoSQL/Big Data, 2 years experience working with modern cloud data services, and have expert knowledge of Hadoop/Java/Spring. I am currently employed at The Walt Disney Company as a Sr. Staff Software Architect. In this role, I work with various groups within Disney to design and build scalable data systems.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science with an emphasis in networking and artificial intelligence from BYU. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children, keeping up with the latest technology in BigData/NoSQL (esp. with graph databases), and finding opportunities to learn new technologies for no other reason than that they seem interesting to me.
