My name is Debra Jones...but you can call me Deb. I am a Licensed Realtor in Greenville, South Carolina. Ironically, I discovered what I wanted to do with my life while working my first professional job out of Graduate School as a Career Counselor. I felt like I was living a double life. During the day I would give advice and guidance to those who are trying to figure out with they wanted to do with their lives. During the night, I would often spend the evening reading real estate blogs, searching homes on the internet, and watching home improvement shows on HGTV. After counseling a client about making his passion into a career, I had a thought. What if I can combine my love for people and homes in one job? Well, I found out that I can, and this is what I eventually decided to do. I can honestly say I love what I do and I am passionate about it.

I created the Modern Nester because just like you..I am a modern bird just trying to balance the demands of work, family, friends, while still trying to manage a functional home. To me a home is the one place where one can truly be themselves. In the midst all the demands that life throws at us throughout the day, we can find refuge, peace, and comfort in coming home. My hope is that the Modern Nester can provide relief to "Modern Birds" such as myself by offering home advice, solutions, and tips to help us all achieve our personal desires for our home.
