Lindsay Jones

Lindsay Ewens-Jones and Dereck Jones are the founders and principals of Jones Divorce Mediation Inc.

Both graduated from the University of Alberta Law School and have practiced for 14 and 19 years, respectively, exclusively in the area of family and divorce law. Their experience and areas of legal expertise include: divorce, custody, access, parenting plans, child support, spousal support, division of matrimonial property, assets and liabilities, prenuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, marriage agreements and common law separations. Both Lindsay Ewens-Jones and Dereck Jones have additional in-depth training in dispute resolution and extensive experience in mediations, mediation/arbitrations and arbitrations.

Lindsay and Dereck understand that divorce is one of the most difficult and stressful events anyone can experience. Their passion is assisting people through this tumultuous experience in a manner that allows the parties to remain in control of their solution, minimize the conflict to which they and their children are exposed, preserve their assets and improve communication.

Using mediation techniques tailored to client’s particular conflict level and matters in dispute, Lindsay and Dereck maximize the prospect for a mutually agreeable resolution and work diligently to achieve efficient, effective and constructive results.
