Jamar Jones
Composer, Producer, and Musician in the U.S.A.
A native of Philadelphia, Jamar Jones is a composer, musician, producer, and professor of music at the University of Texas at Arlington. Since 1997, his work has been heard in the music and film/television industries.
Career highlights include his music production debut on the Boyz II Men multi-platinum album Evolution, which led to another major motion picture production credit featuring Boyz II Men on the soundtrack of The Hurricane starring Denzel Washington.
Over the last 20 years, his work has included music producing, film composing, and songwriting credits with Usher, Vivian Green, Robin Thicke, John Singleton, New Edition Story (ASCAP and NAACP Award Winner), The Greatest Showman (20th Century Fox), In The Heights (Warner Bros.), and Young and the Restless (CBS).
In addition to being a composer, Jamar is the director of music industry studies at the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to this, he was the executive director of music and fine arts for the Potter's House Church led by Bishop T.D. Jakes.
Jamar holds advanced degrees in business and in music. He is a founding partner with Dean Charles (Boondocks, CSI Miami) of the Syndicate, a firm that represents African American composers.
