I am an African scholar who believes in generating and disseminating knowledge which benefits humanity. There is noone with a monopoly for knowledge neither is there any race or tribe which is superior to another. The co-production and co-sharing of knowledge is key to solving some of the enduring development challenges of our time. This is at the core of the issue of sustainable development in some of the world's marginalised communities. These communities yearn for development 'on their terms'. How to achieve this is an area of academic and policy interest and is driving me in this journey of discovery, learning, and applying. Outside of my research interests, I am a teacher, writer, father, basketball player and minister of God.
