Jon Haile

As Senior Editor and Head of Post Production at TCmotion, Jon's main focus is on editing. Most cuts are made in Adobe Premiere CC, though he is also quite well versed with Final Cut Studio and Avid Adrenaline. But it's not just life in the editing suite- he can still be found in the field Assistant Directing or acting as DIT with great regularity. This lends the benefit of having a set of editor-eyes on shoots to make sure things are being shot conducive to the cut, and having a set of shooter-eyes on the edit to recognize everything in context.

From working through the film program at Franklin & Marshall College, through freelance gigs, to eventually landing at TCmotion, Jon has always taken pride in personally seeing his projects all the way through the process- from preproduction planning, past shooting, into final edits and encoding.

Projects of all sorts have taken him from cowfields in Hershey to factories in Brazil, shooting Red Epic, Sony XDcam, DSLR, GoPro, betacam, and even film. He helped shoot and edit the #1 video on target.com, made a PSA that won a worldwide Public Relations award, even travelled to Cape Verde to help film an ethnomusicology documentary. With non-profit, high end food, comedy, horror, medical, animation, manufacturing, live concerts, corporate, local and national commercials to his credit (to name a few), at this point it might be easier to list markets he hasn't tapped.
