Jonathan King

Jon's skills in idea generation, project management and leadership have allowed him to explore a wide variety of industries and come up with unique ways to address specific issues within them. Over the past two years he has served on the Senior Executive of Enactus Memorial. In this position he has guided a team of 70 volunteers to run 11 projects helping address local, national and global needs. Jon has explored standard industry practices in a variety of fields including environmental management, apparel retail or agriculture and helped develop ways to improve them through a triple bottom line approach.

In 2010 he started a recycling program, Project Bottlepreneur, that allows those who push carts and collect recycling to quit dumpster diving for recyclables and offer weekly recycling services to homes in their areas. Today 16 participants are offering their services to homes across 3 provinces and recycle over 3 million bottles and cans every year.

With work experience in the oil and gas industry and small business incubation Jon has worked with a companies ranging for one of the largest corporations in the world to startups just getting off the ground. Through these experiences he has had the opportunity to hone a variety of skills including business plan development, accounting, marketing, and public relations just to name a few.

With a passion for innovation and the drive to be different Jon has developed a toolbox that allows him to face any challenge in today's business world. He is always on the lookout for new opportunities to learn and keen to use his current skill-set to help those in need.
