Based in Hamilton, New Zealand as Chief Executive of Tompkins Wake, a regionally based, nationally recognized law firm with offices in Hamilton, Auckland and Rotorua Jon leads over 100 staff specialising in a wide range of fieldsincluding agribusiness,local government, business strategies and transactions, commercial law including employment and intellectual property, financing transactions and banking, protection of investments and dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Tompkins Wake, Jon led the NZ National Fieldays Society for 4 years, driving change and growth across the organisation as they continue their mission to advance agriculture. Prior to Fieldays, Jon spent two years as General Manager with New Zealand Bus, an Infratil subsidiary and New Zealand’s largest public transport operator, and 12 years with Air New Zealand holding senior management roles in the Regional and International Airlines.

In 2016, Jon was invited to join Locus Research, New Zealand's leading product development and innovation consultancy as Chairman.

Jon holds an MBA and Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from the University of Waikato and lives in Hamilton, NZ with his family.
