Jon Salas

Jon Salas is a communications student in pursuit of a career in public relations. Originally a student of footwear design, Salas lived in Madrid and Milan where he studied the industry until he discovered the realm of communications while working on an assignment. As a result, he returned to the States where he's a graduate from the radio, television, and broadcasting program at San Antonio College and currently attends the Texas A&M University at San Antonio and is a candidate for his BA in communications and journalism in the fall of 2013. He's natively fluent in Spanish and has vast knowledge of French and Italian, as well as an on-going education in Russian. His hobbies include current events, news, culture, and travel. Salas has extensively traveled through North America, Europe, India, and Japan. He credits his Spanish-Japanese ancestry as the source of his nomadism and curiosity to learn. Such focus has lead him to solely dedicate himself to his education and seek opportunities of enrichment. Salas has interned with the San antonio affiliate of Univision, KWEX, where he has prepared on air packages as well s gained experience before and behind the camera. Currently he works as a paid intern on San Antonio's south side at Palo Alto College. A fast learner, multi-tasker, and positive mind, Salas is sure to fit and thrive in any environment. A nomad at heart, Salas continues his travels, one communicational culture at a time.
