It's not every day you see a 6'4" and a half Jew with a Master's of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce and a career in business-degree stuff get on comedy stages to make people laugh.

But that's precisely what Jon Selig fails at doing time and time again - making a career in stand-up comedy even more improbable than one would expect.

Alright, that's a tad harsh. He gets some laughs - mainly from a self-depricating, style that also tackles some absurd topics and being able to call different people out on some obvious BS.

Jon also produces stand-up comedy fundraisers in well-touristed destinations to raise money for local causes.

weekly stand-up show in a sexy hostel bar in downtown Montreal which features some of Montreal's top comics performing for an international audience. He unimaginitively called it "Comedy Hostel". Whatever, branding snobs - it helps you get the idea!

It happens Thursdays at M Bar, (1245 rue St. Andre below St. Catherine, metro Berri-UQAM). We start around 9pm-ish. The best part - it's PAY WHAT YOU CAN (we're worth the price of a drink or two - guaranteed!)!

Jon's performed at shows all over Montreal, and has taken to the stage in Toronto, Ottawa, New York, Orlando, New Orleans, and even Nicaragua!
