Jon Vranesh

An education specialist with the San Lorenzo Unified School District in San Lorenzo, California, Jon Vranesh teaches 11th and 12th grade high school English to students with physical, psychological, and learning disabilities. Jon Vranesh also chairs the district’s special education department, performing functions such as assigning teaching positions and developing master schedules for students.

Mr. Vranesh’s career in San Francisco Bay Area special education administration has spanned more two decades. As an administrator, he has overseen and assessed certificated and classified personnel, coaching and advising these professionals in the implementation of state and local initiatives. He also served as an administrative coordinator for the Western Association for Schools and Colleges accreditation organization.

Outside of the professional sphere, Jon Vranesh is a fitness enthusiast who lifts weights and runs on a regular basis. He has completed a marathon and multiple half-marathons. He is also an avid backpacker who has hiked in several Western US national parks.
