I am passionate about bringing a new age of transparent, inclusive and disintermediated finance. I have designed tools for bringing best in class AML solutions in Bitcoin, analysed economic incentives of Bitcoin miners and built a world class team of data and Bitcoin experts at Coinometrics. I am currently pursuing new projects in cryptocurrencies.
Prior to running Coinometrics, I was a postgraduate economist at the University of Oxford. During this time I was the convenor of the Oxford Virtual Currencies Working Group, an interdisciplinary working group focussed on the economic and social implications of Virtual Currencies. I have also consulted senior government officials on the criminal use cases of Bitcoin and written extensively about the Bitcoin economy.
Aside from my work on Virtual Currencies, I was a research assistant to Professor Ian Goldin at the Oxford Martin School, writing reports and presentations on global megatrends. I was a Student Analyst at Vivid Economics, an environmental economics consultancy and has previously worked in the head office of Xstrata, a FTSE 100 mining company.
