Chairman and CEO of Fotmer Life Sciences, a world-class medical cannabis company based in Uruguay.

Jordan is considered a pioneer in the medical cannabis industry. With over 10 years’ experience, he possesses a deep understanding of agronomy, greenhouse operations, pharmacology, retail operations and management across a wide range of cannabis processes and products.

In 2016, he founded Fotmer Life Sciences. Under his leadership, the Government of Uruguay issued Fotmer the first medical cannabis license for cultivation, manufacturing and international export.

Prior to establishing Fotmer, Jordan founded Silverpeak in 2009, a medical cannabis growing operation and dispensary located in Aspen, Colorado. Silverpeak was widely recognized for its industry-leading cultivation, manufacturing and retail operations. Additionally, Jordan holds a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jordan chose to headquarter Fotmer in Uruguay after they became the first country to legalize cannabis on a national level.

Thanks to his foresight, international producers struggling with outsize demand or less than ideal growing conditions are now able to access high-quality product and service from Uruguay and, more specifically, Fotmer.

Fotmer Life Sciences is a government licensed, privately held and vertically integrated medical cannabis producer. As a large-scale cultivator, the company operates world-class R&D, extraction and controlled growing operations inside established tax-free trade zones.

In early 2019, Fotmer’s team successfully harvested the first 5MT of six different medical cannabis varieties. The team then prepared them for export at Fotmer’s newly opened 10MT capacity processing plant.

This was made possible thanks to a uniquely structured government license to produce high-THC biomass from an EU-GMP Pharma Class D standard facility.

While Fotmer currently focuses on exporting to open markets such as Canada, Australia and several European countries, the company has plans to expand its business inside the domestic market as well.

With Jordan Lewis at the helm, Fotmer aims to steadily increase production to 400MT dried flower and derivatives by 2022. The ability to scale at this rate will further cement Fotmer’s reputation as an international and regional partner of choice in the rapidly expanding global cannabis industry.
