Jordan Levine
I'm an intedisciplinary Phd candidate at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, where I'm affiliated with:
the Liu Institute for Global Issues,
the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability, and
the Centre for Human Evolution, Cognition and Culture.
I'm also a co-founder of the International Development Research Network.
My research interests include sustainable development, global-local linkages, culture, cognition and belief, public understanding of science, community consultation, and notions of justice. My methods are drawn largely from cognitive anthropology.
I'm especially interested in the Middle East, and the global South, and have prior degrees in international relations, and Middle East area studies.
Thankfully, I also have weakensses for travel, cooking, hiking, jouranlism, languages, and REM sleep, not necessarily in that order.
