Jordan Shapiro is a combiner, an interdisciplinary thinker with a passion for solving complex problems that span seemingly-disparate fields. He is currently a product manager at SmartThings and, in summer 2016, he will join the inaugural class of Schwarzman Scholars at Tsinghua University in Beijing.

Jordan graduated from Stanford University, where he earned his master's in management science & engineering and his bachelor's in bioengineering with a minor in modern languages (with fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, and Hebrew). At Stanford, Jordan was class president, chief of staff of the student government, convocation student speaker, editor-in-chief of Intersect: The Stanford Journal of Science, Technology, and Society, and studied technological entrepreneurship as a Mayfield Fellow. He is a 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo and is passionate about theater. Jordan intends to merge his diverse interests to pursue global biotechnological entrepreneurship.
