Jordan Crawford
Student in Columbus, Ohio
Hello my name is Jordan Crawford and I am a first year student at The Ohio State university and am on track to get a degree in Middle Childhood Education. My top 5 StrengthsQuest Strengths are: Harmony, Belief, Relator, Responsibility, and Consistency. I think it makes complete sense that Harmony is my top strength because I always want people getting along and not arguing and I usually do everything that I can to make that happen. In most situations I will always compromise my side of something just so that there is not drama, the only thing I never compromise is my Christianity and belief in Jesus. This goes right along with my next strength which is Belief, my entire life is centered around my relationship with Jesus and that reflects in my everyday life. One strength that I thought would be higher is resposibility, I am always known as the responsible and level headed one in my friend groups, a lot of times I am called "mom" as a joke because of how responsible I am. Overall I think that my top five strengths represent who I am as a person well.
My dream job was actually surprisingly easy to find. I found a job in the Cincinnati area for a 6th grade math and english teacher. I really want to be a 5th or 6th grade teacher and I would like to be able to teach math and english if possible. My absolute dream job would be to teach at my old school, Lebanon but anywhere in that general area would be okay. Doing this activity made me realize that it would be difficult to find my dream job but not impossible.
My favorite Ohio State tradition is singing Carmen Ohio. I love how we all come together and put our arms around one another and belt out the lyrics, it is one of the only opportunities that we can all come together and be one student body. I think that it is an awesome time to be with and enjoy time with my fellow classmates and also because it is something that I will only get to enjoy while I am a student but I will not get to once I graduate. I think it is an awesome time to just bring all of us together and giving us something in common in our love for Ohio State.
