Jordan J. Martin
Research Assistant, Wichita State University CFD/Icing Lab
- Wind Tunnel Testing. Worked in a team of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as senior researchers, to complete a NIAR aircraft icing research project.
- Data Reduction and Comparison. Used Excel to compare and plot data relating to industry research.
- Computational Fluid Dynamics Meshing and Analysis. Performed CFD analysis for iced airfoil sections.
- Testing Documentation and Presentation. Created reports and presentations using Word and PowerPoint to document testing procedures and results.
Intern, NASA Langley Research Center
- Damage Tolerance Testing. Worked in Structural Mechanics and Concepts Branch to develop and implement tests to determine an acceptable level of orbital damage for inflatable space structures. Operated load frame test equipment to determine mechanical and stress properties of high-tensile strength webbing.
- Seam Efficiency Research. Researched previous methods and worked to develop new methods for seaming high tensile strength webbing.
- Supported NASA engineers on other projects. Designed test components and researched test methods
