Jordan Martin
Small Business Owner in Windsor, United Kingdom
I’m Jordan Martin, founder and Managing Director of MTN Solutions Ltd.
I started MTN Solutions in 2008 with a background in electronic security and technology, and a belief that there was a better way to approach people’s homes.
Since then, the business has evolved considerably.
Today, MTN Solutions delivers high-quality renovations, extensions and bespoke residential projects, bringing together construction, project management, smart home technology, lighting, climate control, security and specialist trades under one roof.
But my role has never simply been about building.
I like solving problems, questioning the obvious solution and looking at a project as a whole. I’m a big believer that the best decisions are made before work starts — thinking about how a home will actually be used, how the different systems will work together and how today’s decisions could affect the client five or ten years down the line.
I don’t just want to build something that works. I want to build something that works better.
That might mean spotting an opportunity to improve a layout, simplifying a complicated detail, integrating technology properly from the beginning or challenging a design when I believe there is a better solution.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt since starting the company is that clients aren’t simply buying bricks, timber, kitchens or technology.
They’re buying confidence.
Confidence that someone is looking at the bigger picture.
Confidence that the right people are being coordinated.
Confidence that problems will be dealt with rather than passed around.
And confidence that someone genuinely cares about the finished result.
That’s why one of my favourite sayings has always been:
“You don’t buy from a business. You buy from a person.”
For me, relationships and reputation are everything. I want clients to feel comfortable picking up the phone, asking questions and knowing that I’ll give them a straightforward answer — even when it isn’t necessarily the easiest answer.
Technology is still a huge part of what interests me. From smart lighting and home automation to security, AV, Wi-Fi and climate control, I love finding ways to make technology genuinely useful rather than adding gadgets simply for the sake of it.
The same thinking applies to construction.
A beautiful home is important, but what sits behind the finished walls matters just as much. Good planning, good infrastructure and good coordination are what allow a project to perform properly for years to come.
Nearly two decades after starting MTN Solutions, I’m still learning, still looking for better ways of doing things and still probably asking “Why are we doing it that way?” more often than some people would like.
And I think that’s a good thing.
Because for me, “that’s how it’s always been done” has never been a particularly good reason to keep doing it.
My aim is simple:
Listen better. Plan better. Build better.
If you’re considering a renovation, extension or a more complex home project and want someone who will look beyond the drawings and think about the complete result, I’d be very happy to have a conversation.

Building beautifully. Managing brilliantly.
