Jordan McGregor

Hi I’m Jordan. I like long walks on the beach and candlelit dinners.

Seriously though, adventure, outdoors and sport, that’s me. Coming from Cairns, Far North Queensland, I’ve grown up with the outdoors right on my doorstep and that has driven the passion for the things I love doing. My main passion is sport, any type of sport. Yep, I'm an Australian male. Some of my other hobbies include white water kayaking, hiking and flying helicopters. You could say I love things that are a bit challenging.

Since I was young I have been very involved in sport. Throughout my school life, I especially loved team sports including cricket and football (soccer), both of which I started playing when I was around 6 years old. Athletics has also been a sporting passion of mine, competing in short-distance running events as well as long jump and javelin.

When I'm not on the field, in the gym or on on the track, you'll find me very loudly singing away to music, watching my favourite TV shows and movies or cooking up a storm in the kitchen...oh and of course attending class and studying.

My taste for adventure also is what lead me to studying at Bond University, where I'm currently studying as a second year undergraduate student. Throughout my senior years at high school, I always planned on attending university after I graduated in 2012, but up until mid way through Grade 12 I still hadn't decided on where I wanted to go. I attended Bond's Open Day in July of my senior year and I guess you can say the rest is history. I could not be happier with my new homes, Bond University and the Gold Coast, there's nothing better. I always wanted my time at university to be some of the best years of my life and so far, Bond is definitely making that dream a reality for me!

What does the future after university hold for me? Well I'm taking that thirst for adventure and that need for a challenge and making a career out of it; as a pilot in the Navy. For now though, I'm making the most of my time studying at the best place I could possibly ask for with some of the best people I've ever met.
