WellPoint discriminates against patients who are diagnosed with breast cancer and cancels their health insurance policy, WellPoint has created an algorithm to identify their policy holders who have received a diagnosis of breast cancer.

The algorithm then alerts the company to start a fraud investigation, according to a Reuters story by Murray Waas, so they can make some bogus reason to drop the policy because WellPoint does not want to pay for breast cancer treatment.
