Jordin Moore

Hey everyone, I'm Jordin Moore. I'm 18 and currently live in Hastings on Hudson. I was born in the Bronx, and moved 11 times in my life. I played both football and basketball for my high school. I enjoy sports a lot, I plan on playing professional basketball if I can. Music is another thing that I'm also good at. I recently dropped a mixtape on New Years and it has a little over 5K views. I have two siblings, a younger brother and a older sister. My parents are separated, but that's okay because since my mother lives in the city I get to enjoy the suburbs and the city life. I grew up being one of the few black kids in my town, but after a while you settle in and get comfortable with it. Two of my favorite movies growing up was the Goonies and Space Jam. In my town I have a nickname, it's JoMo which stands for Jordin Moore. Everyone in my town calls me that I think its really funny. My major is Electrical Engineering, but that could always change cause I'm unsure of what I really want to do. I never planned on coming to WCC, but since college is very expensive and I had no scholarships I couldn't afford going to the school that I wanted to. I was going to play Division II basketball at Dominican college. I'm Puerto Rican and Black, I understand Spanish better than I speak it. I was raised by my father, I have a 2016 Mazda, I'm 6'1 and have a size 13 shoe. Communication to me is any sort of interaction with another, that being over social media, or body language/ facial expressions. I've spoken in public before, during my homecoming we all gather in the gym and I had to speak in front of all the grades in the high school, I've also spoken in front of many people when I ran for school president. This was during my senior year of high school. My fears of public speaking are sounding unsure of myself, and continuing to speak with repetition, stuttering or nervousness.
