My name is Jorge N. Leal, I am a writer, educator, producer and scholar interested in the cultural production of Latino/a youth subcultures in Southern California. Additionally, I am interested in such topics as: urban history, urban planning, the environment and their effects on health and culture in the city. Nevertheless my perennial interest is the historical and contemporary presence and contributions of migrant and ethnic communities in global cities.
