José Mendes

I am an experienced manager and successful leader with over 20 years of experience in managing teams and projects from all sizes. During my career I’ve been connected to different branches of activities, I have faced different challenges and gained knowledge in diverse areas.

I have a track record of developing high performance teams from small ones with less than 10 people to big ones with more than 100. Leading teams, with a continuous improvement focus, a healthy mindset and a strong awareness of business priorities and impact, has been my philosophy throughout the years. I have been responsible for different organizational changes and reorganization of processes, always with a lean approach, a very strong growth mindset and focus on people and organization. I’ve learned to create and use financial planning and analysis with success. I think this is crucial to develop the correct team mindset and achieve goals.

In the last 5 years I’ve led the complete transformation of a company, intervening in: the relation with the costumer, creating tools like a configuration APP, a new catalog, etc.; the philosophy of the product, creating modular booms to easily be configured by clients and changing processes to improve quality and efficiency; the shop floor, improving the layout, the organization, creating a new department of supply chain, and the working philosophy.

I have also led projects of digital transformation, ERP and CRM transformations and implementation, Machine renovations, complete lines implementations and renovations, creation of new machines and update processes. I also have good knowledge of several programming languages, like VBA, C#, etc. My degree is a five year engineering course, with focus on Energy, Electronic, Automation and IT.
