What do I do?
As an Interior Design major my goals and purpose for the future are to better help people feel a greater connection to the world that extensively surrounds them.
Why WSU?
Washington State University has been the greatest accomplishment I have reached in my educational career. I chose WSU, as a transfer student, because of its competitive yet inviting and friendly nature, it's a perfect balance.
The first few days.
I can remember my first day of school after transferring from Bellevue College as one of the most exciting days in my life. I was surrounded by thousands of student, yet I felt so comfortable, and as if I was where I needed to be. The day flew by, and solidified my decision of Washington State. The greatest thing about my first few days was that no matter who I turned to for help or questions, the students and faculty were always so willing and able to help.
My favorite spot on campus!
I would have to say that my favorite spot on campus would be in the Compton Union Building, facing the Glenn Terrell Friendship Mall, right next to the big projection screen. Talk about a great place to people watch!
Some advice for you as a new student.
As a new student I feel that you should emerge yourself in the community. You are now a part of this great family, we hope that you express yourself and be who you are. There is nothing better than exploring the world around you and becoming a better person, that alone will drive you to be the best you can be.
And to the new Cougar parents.
...let your "kids" become adults. That may sound tough or cold, but it may be the best thing you can do. This university will help lead them in the right direction the best way it knows how, and hey its been doing in for 123 years now.
