Josée Boyer

Dr. Boyer is a board certified bilingual Naturopathic Doctor with a general family practice in Ottawa. Her area of focus is psychoneuroimmunology : this includes conditions such as anxiety, depression , insomnia, and stress. She is interested in helping her patients find emotional balance and optimal mental health while regulating physical health issues such as digestive complaints, weak immune system and neuroendocrine imbalances.
Her passion for the inner workings of the human body and the mind’s connection to health drove her to naturopathic medicine. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree (Biomedical Sciences) from Laurentian University, in her native Sudbury, Ontario. During her naturopathic medical studies, Dr. Boyer was elected Student Union President on the Naturopathic Student Association where she served as liaison between students, faculty and staff.
Dr. Boyer’s experience at Anishnawbe Health Toronto was focused on Aboriginal health in the treatment of obesity, diabetes and mental health. She was able to collaborate with other health practitioners at the integrative health clinic. Furthermore, her active involvement in the Ottawa community offers an extended network of allied health and fitness professionals, which allows her to provide multi-disciplinary approach for her patients.
Dr. Boyer offers high quality naturopathic care and encourages patients to be curious and informed about their health and the naturopathic healing process. She holds health presentations within the Ottawa region. A runner and an outdoor enthusiast, Josée enjoys discovering new restaurants and testing new recipes. She was also featured in TFO’s television show Ruby.
