A Michigan-based financial planner, Jose Garcia is the founder of SafeHarbor Management Group (SMG), a full-service financial and independent health insurance agency. He founded the firm in 2008 and serves as chief executive officer, providing strategic direction and overseeing a team of managers and vice presidents. SMG has built a strong reputation for advising individuals and business owners in areas including wealth management, tax planning, estate planning, and group benefits. Under Jose Garcia’s leadership, the Michigan insurance and financial services agency has grown to 20 independent contractors and 18 full-time employees.
An MBA graduate of Michigan State University, Mr. Garcia previously served in Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf as a member of the United States Navy. As part of his ongoing financial services qualifications, he earned a Long-Term Care designation (LTC) to better assist clients create long-term financial plans for funding their healthcare needs.
