Jose Martinez
Jose Martinez currently serves as Director of Client Care for TigerText Inc., a leader in secure, real-time messaging for healthcare, enterprises, and individuals. He brings more than 12 years of experience and expertise in building and managing global technical support centers through focused hiring, formal training and development, and implementation of world class customer facing technologies designed to drive the customer experience.
He began his career in technology startups as one of the first employees at Xdrive Technologies as Customer Service Manager. While there, he was instrumental in supporting Xdrive Technologies' growth from zero to ten million customers and eventual acquisition by AOL in August 2005.
Jose joined MySpace in 2006, one of the most popular social networking sites, as Director of Training and Quality. While there he managed all systems, supporting seven different teams that shaped MySpace’s Support Operations. He developed the operations strategy for enhancing quality and training, defined key business processes and technology solutions, and drove the creation of the roadmap, planning, and prioritization processes of new features and support tools.
He then joined CyberDefender Corporation, a software company that developed anti-virus /anti-spyware and other Internet security software, where he served as Vice President of Customer Relations. He spearheaded the growth and expansion of the contact center that resulted in more than 300 internal and 420 external agents across three different domestic and off-shore sites.
Prior to TigerText Inc., Jose worked at BeachMint, Inc., a social e-commerce company that collaborated with celebrities, style icons, experts and brand designers from all over the world to create online direct-to-consumer brands focused on women’s fashion. There he serviced as Director of Customer Care, where he was directly responsible for the development and execution of customer retention strategies and implementation of technologies designed to deliver a positive curated shopping experience.
Although Jose completed most of his undergrad at the University of California, Santa Cruz, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University.
