José Ignacio Domínguez has strong managing experience, as well as academic background, to guide his clients toward actionable and assertive strategic marketing decisions.

He studied business administration as well as an MBA at ITESM, where he was a marketing professor at undergraduate levels from 1975 to 1979.

From1980 to 1988, he was the strategic planning director of Cervecería Cuauhtémoc, working not only for the brewery business, but also for recently acquired business, such as soft drinks, convenience stores, fast food, etc.

From 1989 to 1994 he had his own advertising firm, Criterio y Creatividad Publicitaria, distinguishing from other competitors thanks to top of the art marketing intelligence and assertive strategic recommendations. After a brief period as Marketing Director for Grupo Financiero Banorte in 1995, José Ignacio started working on his own as a business consultant on subjects related to Marketing Strategy, and decisions concerning Market Segmentation, Product Differentiation, and Brand Positioning.

Among his most recent clients, one can find large Mexican corporations such as Cemex, Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma, Embotelladoras Arca, Oxxo, Plenus, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Vitro Vidrio Plano, and Whirlpool. Three of his international clients have been Solvay Minerals, HEB, and Roadway Express.

Also a part time professor at Universidad de Monterrey, he is frequently invited to give speeches and impart seminars and lectures by a number of Business Schools and training organizations in México.

Jose Ignacio is an avid reader who enjoys works of fiction in the author’s native language when it’s Spanish, English, and French.
