José Lemes Soares

José Lemes Soares, known professionally as JL Soares, is a Brazilian entrepreneur and counterintelligence specialist with deep roots in Brazil’s transportation and logistics sector. He is the grandson of José Lemes Soares, founder of Viação Andorinha, one of the largest long-distance passenger transportation companies in Brazil. His family has historically owned and operated multiple transportation companies across the country, including Transol – Transporte Coletivo de Florianópolis, Transul (Lages), Expresso Mato Grosso, Kim Guin, Crucena, among others, consolidating decades of experience in mobility, logistics, and large-scale operations.

Building upon this legacy, JL Soares founded and leads Avencas Group, a diversified holding conceived as an evolution of the family’s traditional transportation businesses. Under his leadership, the group expanded into strategic intelligence, education, technology, and premium services, including Leyla School; Smith & Lemes; and Avencas Luxury Residence.

The venture that most distinguishes his professional trajectory is Perseu Counterintelligence, where JL Soares acts as a specialist in counterintelligence and complex-case strategy, dealing with strategic deadlocks, behavioral profiling, reputational risk, and multidisciplinary coordination. He is the author of the forthcoming books “As 38 Leis da Contrainteligência” and “Eduque Seu Filho Como um Rei.”
