José Miguel Macay Moreira

My name is José Miguel Macay Moreira, Land Surveyor Engineer, and I am doing my Master's degree in Research focus in Engineering and Architecture at the University of Extremadura while working at Vertex Modelling (London) and Grupo-ADS. I am passionate of the geomatics world, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology, 3D architectural models, 3D visualization and graphic desing.

My two actual jobs, one as junior photogrammetrist and the other as business agent and on-line community manager, have increased more my interest in 3D models, visualization, graphic design and Spanish food.

Working as a guest researcher in FBK in the research team 3DOM (Italy) during three months allowed me to improve my researching skills in the area of Geomatics. As exchange student in the Högskolan i Gävle (Sweden) I wrote my bachelor thesis about 3D city modelling. Although, I am a newbie researcher with only one publication so far, I am eager and looking forward to do further research and to contribute more in the field of geomatics in the future. Fortunately, I had the opportunity of living in different countries where I was able to develop not only academic skills, but also intercultural competence.

I love travelling, listening to music, men fashion and reading scientific articles.
