Joseph Fargnoli is the Founder and CEO of RITRE Corporation and the founder of the New York Space Alliance (NYSA). An AI engineer and systems engineer, he works where artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and robotics meet the New Space economy, building technology aimed at advancing human well-being and supporting social and economic development.
Fargnoli's technical background spans electro-optical systems engineering, optical systems engineering, remote sensing, and radar systems engineering, along with experience as a senior systems engineer and solutions architect. His current interests include advanced computing and AI material science, including work connected to Zero Valent NanoMetals and SANABIT Technologies. He approaches his field as an innovation leader and strategist who enjoys turning difficult engineering problems into practical, working systems.
His academic background is broad. It includes graduate study at The George Washington University, with doctoral work in artificial intelligence and a master's in telecommunications, a master's in computer science from Georgia Tech, a master's in optics and optical sciences from the University of Rochester, and a master's in national security and international affairs from the Institute of World Politics. He also holds a master's in electrical engineering and a bachelor's in applied mathematics and system modeling from the University at Buffalo, along with certificates in cybersecurity and microelectronics engineering from RIT, a radar systems engineering certificate from Northrop Grumman, and a photonics certificate from MIT.
Today his work centers on RITRE Corporation and the New York Space Alliance, where Fargnoli applies artificial intelligence, advanced computing, and systems engineering to the New Space economy. He has shared his perspective in industry settings, including as a speaker at the Global Predictive Analytics Conference and through Space and Satellite Professionals International. His broader goal is straightforward: to use technology to advance human well-being and contribute to social and economic development.
