Joseph Rallo is the Chief Executive Officer at E.F. Hutton & Co., a position he has held since reviving the firm in May 2020. Under his leadership, E.F. Hutton quickly became one of the most prolific IPO underwriters by deal volume in 2022 and early 2023. With more than 20 years of experience in investment banking, Rallo has completed over 500 transactions totaling more than $60 million in proceeds. His steady leadership, adaptability, and client-focused approach have earned him respect throughout the financial industry.
Joseph Rallo's expertise covers a wide range of complex deal structures, including initial public offerings (IPOs), special-purpose acquisition (SPAC) offerings, mergers and investments (M&As), debt capital markets, leveraged financing, restructuring, recapitalization, and private funding rounds. He began his career as a Summer Analyst in Equity Derivatives at Lehman Brothers before joining Citizens JMP Securities, where he served as Vice President in the Financial Institutions & Real Estate Investment Banking Group for a decade. Later, he became Co-Head of Global Investment Banking at Aegis Capital Group before founding E.F. Hutton.
When Rallo launched E.F. Hutton during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he focused on digital transformation and remote collaboration. This approach ensured business continuity, adaptability, and strong client relationships during a volatile market.
Beyond finance, Joe Rallo and his wife are dedicated philanthropists supporting education, healthcare, and youth development worldwide. He serves on the boards of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Lang Lang International Music Foundation, and the Rousseau Foundation.
Joseph Rallo earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, where he played Division 1 Lacrosse and co-founded the Irish Fighting for St. Jude Kids. He holds FINRA Series 24, 63, and 79 licenses and resides in New York City with his family.
