Hi there. I'm a venture capital investor at Emergence Capital Partners where I focus on investing in enterprise SaaS startups and mobile apps for business users. I leveraged my experience as a venture capital investor to write Silicon Heroes, a graphic novel that portrays entrepreneurs as role models and promotes diversity.
Prior to Emergence, I did hard time at McKinsey & Co. in Asia and American Capital in Palo Alto where I had the good fortune of investing in HomeAway. In my younger days I founded more failed startups than I care to remember including a mobile game development firm where I coded a functioning alpha of the first game in Excel (if we meet in person, you should definitely ask to see it).
When I'm not tethered to a computer, I enjoy traveling, eating and exercising. Luckily, the last two balance each other out. I've had the good fortune to travel around the world twice and set foot on all 7 continents. Despite all of the amazing experiences I've had, I still believe California is the best place in the world (though taxes and housing prices are slowly changing my opinion). :)
