Joseph Hedberg

My name is Joseph Hedberg, I was raised in Victorville, California. I left Victorville when I was 19 and attended Oregon State University. While at Oregon State I enlisted in the Oregon Army National Guard and participated in Army ROTC. I left school in 2008 so I could deploy with my unit to Iraq.
During my time in Iraq I took classes online so that I could get my associates degree. After that I found my passion and sought out a career in sports. During my time at Oregon State I covered Oregon State football while working in radio, both student and with a local station. It was a great learning experience to interview coaches and players.
After graduation I took an internship with the Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club and worked in game operations and outside marketing. I was later moved onto the sales team where I got valuable experience. I took a job in the USHL as a sales representative and I've been in Bloomington Illinois since May of 2014.
