Joseph Ayinga-Walter is a Sports Broadcast Journalist and writer based in Accra, Ghana, currently working with the Multimedia Group Limited.

A graduate of the University of Media, Arts and Communication, where he studied Journalism, Joseph has built a growing reputation for telling compelling human-centred sports stories that go beyond match reports and scorelines.

Over the past year, he has covered major sporting events including the University Sports Association Games (GUSA) in Cape Coast, where he spotlighted a visually impaired goalball athlete from the University of Ghana. His feature storytelling focuses on resilience, inclusion, and the power of sport to shape identity and opportunity.

Joseph has also reported on the Ghana Premier League, profiling emerging talents such as Eric Agyemang, while working on in-depth projects including a documentary on Ghana’s forgotten football heroes from the 1982 AFCON-winning team.

With a keen interest in long-form features and broadcast storytelling, he aims to bridge local Ghanaian sports narratives with global audiences. His ambition is to use journalism not just to inform, but to amplify underrepresented voices and demonstrate how sport can serve as a vehicle for social change and national pride.
