Joseph Buchwald

Joe Buchwald earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina in 2008. Pursuing a career in law enforcement, Mr. Buchwald currently serves as a Loss Prevention Detective for Macy’s, Inc., in Wayne, New Jersey. His position involves investigating suspicious and threatening behavior in a retail setting with the aid of security cameras. He meets regularly with store department personnel to discuss issues relating to safety.

Working diligently with a team of security professionals, store employees, and retail managers, he focuses on eliminating store losses by theft. Joe Buchwald operates as an outgoing professional with integrity in work assignments. Joe Buchwald holds diverse professional history in addition to serving in law enforcement. His recent experience includes working with a Certified Public Accountant in Coral Springs, Florida. In that capacity, he contributed to ad hoc projects, filing paperwork, and maintaining customer accounts.

Previously operating in New York City, he held a professional position with Electric Lighting Agencies. His contributions also include assisting agents at Liberty Travel in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Active in his community, Joe Buchwald has performed volunteer work through Relay for Life and the Wounded Warrior Project. Charitable organizations supported by Mr. Buchwald include the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the American Cancer Society.
