Joseph C. Apodaca is a senior at California State University, Long Beach, pursuing a B.A. in Journalism, emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Communication Studies. Graduating in December 2013, Joseph is a 2012 LAGRANT Foundation Scholarship Recipient and has made the President's & Dean's list in his time at CSULB.
Joseph currently works as a Freelance Online Entertainment Producer at KABC-TV's affiliate On The Red Carpet. He generates news stories based on the entertainment industry, creates photo galleries and cuts video of celebrity interviews for the website.
Joseph's most recent public relations internship was at LAGRANT COMMUNICATIONS, an integrated marketing communications firm in Los Angeles, CA. As an intern for the African American practice, he wrote press releases, developed media lists and conducted research for two diverse accounts. Joseph also completed two terms as an intern with The LAGRANT Foundation (TLF), where he wrote photo releases, developed a communications plan and conducted outreach to various college campuses across the country to promote career development workshops and scholarship programs.
Joseph was a marketing specialist at World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation, served as a content writer at unWIREDTV and spent three years at The Downey Patriot Newspaper as an intern, where he wrote student life, sports and lifestyle stories on a weekly basis.
Joseph also currently works part-time as a visual merchandiser and sales associate at Los Coyotes Cards & Gifts in Long Beach, CA.
