Joseph Covelli
Joseph Covelli has amassed a great deal of experience in auditing and accounting. Recently, he worked as Senior Accountant at Geller & Company LLC, located in New York City. In this role, Mr. Covelli assumed responsibility for tracking and settling accounts against the general ledger, in addition to reconciling the soft dollar administration application/sub-ledger with the general register. As required, Mr. Covelli also monitored clearing accounts to ensure that they contained sufficient funds, and recorded necessary cash entries, annotating them as a gain or loss. Joseph Covelli frequently put his analytical skills into practice preparing and analyzing income records, balance sheets, month-end revenues, expense accruals, and cash flow statements. In addition to his work for Geller & Company, Joseph Covelli gained accounting expertise as an Audit Associate at KPMG LLP. During his time at the New York headquarters of the U.S. member firm of KPMG International Cooperative, Mr. Covelli served as a client liaison, conducting consumer walk-throughs and ensuring that the company obtained comprehensive audit information. In addition, he remained current with pronouncements from the Financial Accounting Standards Board pertaining to lease accounting and nonrefundable costs related to loan origination. Prior to joining Geller & Company, he spent nearly four years as Branch Manager at Commerce Bancshares, Inc.
Additionally, Joseph Covelli maintains ties to his field through his involvement with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the world’s largest accounting organization. He also supports charitable groups, such as the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, The Human Rights Campaign, and Best Friends Animal Society.
