An experienced hospitalist, Dr Joseph Galdun serves as medical director of hospital medicine with Indiana's Fayette Regional Health System. Beyond performing regular hospitalist duties, Dr. Joseph Galdun develops electronic order sets and performs other administrative tasks. He is also a member of several hospital committees, including the Credentials Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and Medical Record Review. Dr. Galdun came to this position in 2017 after spending the previous 16 years as a cardiology night hospitalist with St. Vincent Hospital.
Joseph Galdun, MD, completed his internal medicine residency at the Indiana University Medical Center. During his residency, he completed case presentations related to Cushing's syndrome and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome at a Clinical-Pathological Correlation Conference and at the ACP-ASIM Annual Scientific Assembly, respectively. He served one year as the chief medicine resident at Methodist Hospital, where he gained experience staffing general medicine wards and leading a case-based didactic conference. He was also part of the Resident Evaluation Committee and Transfusion Committee during his chief residency.
Dr. Galdun completed his doctor of medicine degree at Indiana University. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Washington University, where he was a dean's list graduate and member of Phi Beta Kappa.
