Josephia Rouse

I am a family law attorney and the founder of The Law Offices of Josephia Rouse, a firm serving in Baltimore, MD.

I graduated from the South University in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Legal Studies. Before law school, I was a Legal Administrative Specialist for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 3 years. I left the security of my Federal Government job to pursue my passion for helping people understand their rights with a law school degree. I earned my J.D. from Charlotte School of Law in 2013. I began my legal career as a General Practitioner but always have been led to family law thus I eventually began litigating family law cases.

As a family law mediator and Best Interest Attorney (attorney who represents children in court cases), I litigated child abuse cases and honed the skills needed to make families whole, even after divorce.

My team and I work hard at researching issues and solutions for families. We thoroughly explain the financial obligations of litigation and settlements. Our continual goal is to find common-sense approaches to obstacles that block the way to successful agreements.
