Joseph Kevin McLaughlin, Ph.D., is a highly accomplished epidemiologist based in Rockville, Maryland. Intensely active in his field, he currently serves as president of the International Epidemiology Institute and chairman of the International Epidemiology Foundation. In academia, Joseph Kevin McLaughlin serves as a researcher in the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and as an adjunct professor of epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

His work as a researcher focuses on topics like the epidemiology of cancer and other chronic diseases, occupational epidemiology, health risks associated with implanted medical devices, and pharmacoepidemiology.
