New York businessman, Joseph Krigsfeld, is a Principal Investor & Lead Seed Investor in a variety of different fintech, media and film related startup companies.
Joseph started his career in financial services in 2003, having graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. Following this, he worked at a number of leading banking and investment firms, both in London and in New York.
During 2012 and 2013, Joseph Krigsfeld was handed the role of Executive Producer for a handful of movies. He is best known for his work in films such as ‘To the Wonder’, ‘Awful Nice’ and ‘The Better Angels’. Joseph has worked alongside some household names such as Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams and Javier Bardem, and was even able to recruit distinguished film director, Terrence Malick, for one of his projects.
Following the success Joseph Krigsfeld has had in the film industry, he launched a number of media related seed investments. He has been involved in various media fintech investments through their lifecycles, and in some cases, successful exits and IPO’s. One of the ventures was in TUGG, a crowdsourced film distribution technology startup that empowers anyone to share films in movie theatres and community centers anywhere in the world. Joseph was an early seed investor and helped establish the business as a disruptor in the film industry before its ultimate wind down – leaving a significant mark in terms of IP and presence in the indie film world.
Mr. Krigsfeld has spent nearly 20 years as an active contributor and mentor at various philanthropic programs, in Philadelphia and New York. One of the programs leads an international effort to preserve cultural heritage sites around the world.
