A writer and producer with 20 years of experience in the entertainment field, Joseph Mallozzi has written and developed more than 100 hours of television programming. Mr. Mallozzi began as a writer for children’s animation in Canada and has storyboarded episodes for such animated shows as Animal Crackers, the Little Lulu Show, and the Busy World of Richard Scarry. In 1997, Joseph Mallozzi wrote his first live-action script for an episode of Lassie and completed his first job as a producer for an episode of the television show Student Bodies.

Later in his career, Joseph Mallozzi joined FOX as a writer-producer for several live-action series, which included Big Wolf on Campus and the Arthur Conan Doyle-inspired show The Lost World. In addition, he wrote and produced episodes for the award-winning series Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate SG-1. In 2015, Mr. Mallozzi began work on the science fiction series Dark Matter, which he cocreated with Paul Mullie and originally published as a four-volume graphic novel in 2012. The first season of the show ended in August 2015 and was renewed for a second season.
