Joseph Neal

While working toward his undergraduate degree in accounting at the University of Georgia, Joseph R. Neal, Jr., began preparing for his career as an attorney by working as a part-time law clerk with the local firm of Hudson & Montgomery. Joseph R. Neal, Jr., continued to build his skills while pursuing his juris doctor at the Mercer University School of Law, during which time he served as a part-time clerk with Adams & Hemingway.

After graduating from the Mercer University School of Law, Joe Neal, Jr., practiced as an assistant district attorney for three years. Over this period, he represented the state in roughly 100 jury trials in Augusta Judicial Circuit.

Since 2000, Joe Neal, Jr., has drawn on his legal experience to operate his own personal injury and wrongful death practice, Neal Law, which maintains offices in Atlanta and Augusta. For the past five years, he has ranked among the Top Lawyers of Georgia according to Atlanta Magazine and the Daily Report. One of Joe Neal, Jr.’s most notable courtroom wins is a $4 million double-fatality trailer-fire suit against the City of Augusta that went all the way to the Georgia Supreme Court.
