An Illinois-based business advisor and financial consultant, Joseph “Joe” Petry, PhD, draws on more than 25 years of experience in economics to provide project analysis and strategic solutions for private sector businesses. Earlier in his career, Dr. Joseph Petry served Credit Suisse First Boston, Citigroup, Chemical Bank, and Eaton as an economist.
From 2001 to 2019, he taught economics and finance at a Big Ten University as a clinical professor. He instructed various in-person and online undergraduate- and graduate-level courses during this time, as well as developing programs and curriculums to increase student engagement. Dr. Joseph Petry has since remained a proponent of teaching finance and economics through active learning and blended learning styles that combine online-lecture components and hands-on classroom experiences.
Dr. Joe Petry formerly held adjunct professorship positions at Beijing Jiaotong University in China, John Carroll University, NYU Stern School of Business, and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
