Music is such a wonderful thing

I came around to playing the piano quite late, but you know, the cliché, “it is never too late” line is far more effective experienced first hand than heard. Playing the piano introduces me to not only the story within the notes, but also the histories of those that came before us. It gives me reason to find pleasure in the balance of discipline and having great fun. It brings so many differing emotions to the surface if you so let it. As a musician these facets of music (and much more of course), are things I would love to share and enjoy with others. To continuously grow with students, fellow musicians, and really, anybody who would lend an ear to music, those are things I aspire to do. To champion the, “it is never too late” line and share my experiences to hopefully instill this creative curiosity within others is a life-long goal, because really I owe it to music, with how it is to this day, a constant reminder for me to see the good in everything.
