An alumnus of the Universidad Evangelica in El Salvador, Dr. Jose Turcios earned a DDS. During his studies, he distinguished himself academically and ranked among the top 10 dental students in the country. After earning his DDS, Dr. Jose Turcios practiced dentistry in El Salvador for two years. There, he focused his practice on providing comprehensive dental care, treatment, and surgeries.

Moving to the United States, Dr. Turcios earned certification as a registered dental hygienist. He then worked as a hygienist while earning US licensure as a dentist. Gaining his credentials in 2002, he went on to serve as a dentist at the Central Coast Pediatric Dental Group in Salinas, California.

Treating children and teenagers, Dr. Jose Turcios was responsible for both identifying dental and gum diseases in children and communicating with parents regarding dental hygiene. To fulfil the latter responsibility, he attended a number of community events and health fairs in order to promote dental hygiene best practices and was invited to speak at a number of events.

In 2009, Dr. Jose Turcios moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, to serve as a dentist at Healthy Smiles. In this position, he oversees multiple aspects of the dental practice’s operations including staff supervision, administration, and technical matters, in addition to seeing patients. He also works in the community to promote good dental hygiene.
