Deerfield, Ohio
An entrepreneurship major with a passion for military history and social justice, I grew up on a small farm in NE Ohio where I home schooled, raised huskies, and helped build our family home. At university I was fortunate enough to have a unique set of experiences. I entered my degree as the founder of a small import venture. During my degree, I helped lead my team to victory in a business growth and management simulation, developing key strategies that enabled us to come in first and return an ROI of over 400% to our investors. A few months later I found myself in a very different situation, this time presenting an award winning research paper at the annual Phi Alpha Theta (history honorary) conference. I finished my degree as president of a campus chapter of the International Justice Mission, an international nonprofit group that rescues victims of human trafficking. Co-founding and leading this group was the highlight of my time at university.
Currently, I am taking a gap year to work before starting my Master's in ancient and medieval warfare at the University of Cardiff, Wales.
My interests, skills, and experiences include leadership and team development, marketing, internet business, military history, research and data analysis, and writing.
